Workflow canvas

Drag and drop elements representing marketing automation events on the workflow canvas. Next, interconnect the blocks to visualize a predefined sequence of events in a marketing campaign. Example scenarios that can be executed using workflows include: lead nurturing, reactivation, abandoned shopping cart and continuously running split tests.

Workflow stats

ExpertSender provides comprehensive feedback for every stage of the workflow, including: total number of subscribers that have entered, finished and are currently in the workflow and on every of its stages. An overlay on the workflow canvas also allows to visualize all the metrics on a single screen, including key metrics of all the messages: sent, opens, clicks and goals reached.

Start event

Drag & drop workflow element that describes subscriber entry conditions to each workflow. Available conditions include the following actions: opt-in, open, click, goal, scheduled time and custom event triggered with API.

Send email

Drag & drop workflow element that allows sending a predefined email message to subscribers that reached a certain stage of the workflow.

Delay event

Drag & drop workflow element that temporarily prevents subscribers from advancing to the next event in the workflow. Delay can be expressed in time intervals (minutes, hours, days, weekdays, weeks, months) or set to specific time and days of the week or month.

Set data event

Drag & drop workflow element that allows to set or change a value of a custom field of each subscriber reaching specified stage of the workflow. Examples include: setting a value to a constant (e.g. “Yes”, “True”, “1”) or increasing/decreasing by a constant (e.g. , “+1”).

Data switch

Drag & drop workflow element that can be used to branch off the path a subscriber follows through the workflow by making a decision based on subscriber’s data. Data rules are based on ExpertSender segmentation engine.

Winner switch

Drag & drop workflow element that performs a split test on a specified sample group of recipients and allows branching off the path subscribers follow based on the results of the split test. The winning version can be selected manually or automatically in a one-off or continuous mode based on the highest open, click, goal rate or aggregated goals' value.

Distribution switch

Drag & drop workflow element that allows branching off fixed proportions of the subscribers onto up to 10 predefined paths (e.g. 5% / 5% / 90%). Usually used for testing different marketing approaches on a smaller representative sample.

End event

Drag & drop workflow element that marks the end of the scenario for the entire workflow or a particular path.

Optional data fields

Used as unique identifier, when a single subscriber needs to be allowed to occur within a single workflow more than once. Data fields need to be predefined and more than one can be used within the workflow at the same time.
